Elected representatives are supposed to be just that: representatives. School board members not only represent the taxpaying citizens of their district, but also the children who are in the care of our school system. As your elected representative, I will hold town halls, forums, and meet-and-greets where I will discuss every single issue that is coming before the board, prior to my making a voting decision on it. After every vote, I will publicly explain the reason for my vote on an issue, so that there is no speculation or room for misunderstanding. Additionally, I will work to have board meetings and work sessions at varying times and locations throughout the county, which will increase accessibility and give more citizens a chance to participate in their government's process.
