An education system is obligated to meet and exceed the needs of faculty and staff. Whether it is pay, supplies, benefits, working conditions, or curriculum, the most successful schools are ones in which the needs of staff are the top priority. I believe that school staff members deserve to have competitive pay and benefits, regular pay increases, and a positive work environment that makes them feel supported and welcome. As your elected representative, I will support efforts made by the teachers' union to improve pay and working conditions, as well as work toward eliminating out-of-pocket expenses that have become synonymous with being an education professional.
