A good education system exposes students to facts about history and social issues, yet there are constant efforts to remove reading materials that would provide that exposure.  Age-appropriate reading materials should never be removed from schools or made unavailable to teachers. As your elected representative, I will fight to ensure that our students have a wide variety of reading materials at their disposal so that, hopefully, they can become well-rounded, knowledgeable individuals, who practice empathy and compassion.
